"Mid-December to mid-January is a slack period for Kampala City Council and institutions generally in Uganda as many people take a long period of leave, especially as it is the end of the Ugandan academic year and hence the long school holiday.
BTC is organizing a 5-day international conference on Urban Development to be held in Brussels during 3rd week of December 2007. Uganda will send a delegation from BTC, KCC and the KIEMP project.
Our proposal to BTC was that you take a few more weeks of recuperation, participate with us in the conference, enjoy Xmas/New Year at home and then come to Kampala in mid-January fully fit (or at least 90 percent)."

Maar ja, we zullen het maar positief bekijken: nu kan ik nog verjaardag, Kerst en Nieuwjaar in België vieren en zal ik inderdaad hopelijk weer (bijna) helemaal fit naar Oeganda kunnen vertrekken. *nog een diepere zucht dan die van gisteren*
